ALS 1 page 4to, signed by R. E. Lee, Capt Engs. Dated April 11, 1843 and written from Fort Hamilton, NY. For the structure obviously at fort Hamilton. "Sir I have your letter of the 18th offering to furnish me with fresh hydraulic Cement @$1.00 per cask of 300 lbs deducting 121/2c per cask for those returned. I will thank you to send me to this place 50 casks with as little delay as practicable. The cement must be fresh & the casks tight & strong. You may also send 10 casks of N.R. Lime Very respectively Your ObtServt, R E Lee, CaptEngs"
